Biking along the Erie canal.
Today i will post some photos of a beautiful bike ride along the Erie Canal.
The Erie Canal is a man-made waterway in New York that runs from Albany the capital of New York state to Buffalo at Lake Erie, completing a navigable water route from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes. It was under construction from 1817 to 1832 and once finished it reduced the costs of transporting goods dramatically. Replaced by the New York State Barge Canal today you can bike along it using the paths that where originally made for the animals pulling the barges.
A wonderful ride that we start in Penfield and end in Pittsford, where there are different places where you can eat lunch ore a snack.
A nice day of relax in the green.
